E. J. Kim, Ph.D.

E. J. Kim has served as C.E.O of Theracion Biomedical. since establishment of the company in June 2016. Mr. Kim has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical industry.
Prior to establishing Theracion Biomedical, he worked as scientist for studying various medical products (nonvascular stents, medical devices, OTC/ETC, DDS, anticancer drugs and biodegradable guided tissue regeneration membranes). Mr. Kim participated in graduate school of Chemical engineering, McMaster University, Canada and received an Ph.D. in biomaterials from the department of polymer science and engineering at Kyungpook National University, Korea.

Oh Hyeong Kwon, Ph.D.

Professor Kwon has served as CTO, Theracion Biomedical since 2016. He is currently professor, the department of polymer science and engineering, at KIT, Korea. Prior to joining KIT, he received an Ph.D. from dept. of biomaterial chemistry, Kyoto University, Japan, in 1998. He has more than 25 years in biomaterial field and his research area includes topical hemostat, tissue engineering, polymeric nano fibers and intelligent polymer.

Yang Hyun Cho, M.D., Ph.D.

Professor Cho has served as professor, department of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at SMC and Sungkyunkwan University College of medicine, Korea. Dr. Cho received M.D. and Ph.D. from Korea University College of Medicine, respectively. He joined as clinical advisor of Theracion Biomedical in 2023. He is a member of the Korean Board of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery and Korean Association for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery member.

Motoichi Kurisawa, Ph.D.

Professor Kurisawa received Ph.D. from School of Materials Science, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) in 1998. He joined Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, Singapore, in 2003 worked as a Senior Principal Investigator to 2021. He is currently professor JAIST, Japan. For his scientific contribution, he was awarded outstanding paper award from Journal of Artificial Organ in 1997 and 2002. Based on the successful development of green tea catechin based-drug carrier, he also received the Grand Prize, The Crown Prince Creative, Innovative Product and Technical Advancement (CIPTA). Award in 2015 and First Prize in the ASEAN Category, The CIPTA Award in 2015. He serves on Editorial Boards of Biomedical Materials since 2016.
